Comfee Range Hoods: Assembly and Care Guide
Comfee Range Hoods are sophisticated kitchen appliances designed to eliminate odours, smoke, and grease from your kitchen. Assembly and installation can be a bit intricate, but with the following step-by-step guide, you should have your range hood up and running in no time.
Assembly and Installation
-
Wall Drilling and Bracket Fixing: Start by marking the area on the wall where the hood is to be fitted. Draw a vertical line-up to the ceiling or upper limit at the centre of this area. Mark three horizontal lines (A, B, C) at specified heights. Ensure that the marks are levelled on both sides of the vertical line.
-
Assembling Hood Body to Bracket: After drilling holes at the marked points, insert the wall plugs into the holes. Fix the hood fixing bracket at the horizontal line A and a chimney fixing bracket at the horizontal line B. Hook the hood body to the bracket and ensure it's levelled. Then remove the filter from inside the hood body and fix the screws to the wall plugs at the marked points.
-
Ducted Version Air Exhaust System: If you are installing the ducted version, connect the hood to the chimney using either a metal flexible or rigid pipe. Install a flange on the hood body outlet and fix the pipe in position using sufficient pipe clamps (note that these are not supplied).
-
Chimney Assembly: Attach the Lower Decorative Chimney to the hood body with 2 screws that come with the hood.
Care and Maintenance
Generally speaking, range hoods require regular cleaning to maintain their efficiency.
-
Cleaning: Depending on the type of filters used in your Comfee Range Hood, you may need to clean or replace them regularly. Grease filters can often be cleaned with warm soapy water or placed in a dishwasher, while charcoal filters typically need to be replaced every few months. Always refer to the specific cleaning instructions provided with your model.
-
Light Maintenance: The light bulbs in your range hood may need to be replaced periodically. This usually involves removing the light cover, replacing the bulb with one of the same type, and reattaching the cover.
-
Surface Cleaning: The exterior of your range hood can be cleaned with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers, which can scratch the surface.
For the most accurate care and maintenance information, I would recommend consulting the user manual for your specific model of Comfee Range Hood.
