Care Guide

Regular Cleaning

  • Wipe down the cast iron parts with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
  • Clean the wooden or metal slats with mild soap and water, then rinse and allow to air dry.

Rust Prevention

  • Regularly inspect the cast iron for signs of rust.
  • If rust appears, lightly sand the affected area and apply a rust-inhibiting primer followed by a coat of outdoor metal paint.

Wood Maintenance (if applicable)

  • If the bench has wooden slats, consider applying a wood sealant to protect against moisture and UV damage.
  • Reapply the sealant as needed, following the manufacturer's recommendations.

Winter Care

  • Consider covering the bench or storing it indoors during winter months to prevent damage from snow and ice.

Regular Inspection

  • Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and screws to ensure they are tight.
  • Inspect the bench for signs of wear or damage and make necessary repairs.
